POOLS desktop FAQ

The game is slow or lagging

The game can be quite demanding graphics-wise, but the settings menu (cogwheel) has several settings that improve performance:

Resolution: lower it, for example 3840×2160 → 1920×1080
Image upscaling: FSR (or DLSS, if available)
Lighting quality: none or low
Reflection quality: off or low
Anti-aliasing: off

I only get a black screen

Add this to the command line arguments / launch options: -force-gfx-direct
Make sure your operating system is up to date
Reinstall the game
If you can access the settings menu, turn motion blur on
